HOLSTEIN, Iowa (KCAU) - The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a fatal pickup-versus-motorcycle accident that claimed the life of an 18-year-old New Holstein man on Tuesday.

According to the crash report, the pickup truck was traveling westbound on Highway 20 when it lost control and slid into the path of the motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound. The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash. The names of those involved have not been released by authorities.

The Iowa State Patrol is continuing to investigate the accident, and no further information is available at this time.
